After years of high demand from coaches, players and parents asking the Emass program (Now known as Laxachusetts Minutemen) why can't we start a girls skills program? Well, the time is now!

Master the fundamentals of Girls lacrosse. Taught by leading players and coaches, the Developmental Skill Program is designed to increase player's lacrosse knowledge and abilities through concentrated instruction and practice on the basic fundamentals of passing, catching, dodging, ground balls, and game situation.

Hingham will once again be entering teams in a local Sunday winter league after a very positive experience last year. This year we will also have practices on Monday nights and it’s being expanded to include 3^rd and 4^th graders. 

Practices-begin on November 1^st and run through the end of February on Monday nights at the new indoor facility (Cohasset Sports Complex) on the Hingham/Cohasset line on 3A.

U11 (3^rd & 4^th grades) 6pm to 7pm / U13 (5^th & 6^th grades) 7pm to 8pm / U15 (7^th and 8^th grades) 8pm to 9pm

Games-begin on Sunday November 14^th and end March 13^th. U11 & U13 games will be played in Hingham at the South Shore Sports Center- start times will vary each week between 7am and 7pm. U15 games will be played on a large field at the South Shore Field House in Pembroke between 7am and 1pm.

Cost- $350 which roughly breaks down to around $11 per hour of play/practice…sorry about the price but it’s a ton of lax and indoor time/referees are not cheap. Each team should get in roughly 16 games and 16 practices or at least 30 hours of lacrosse.  A $25 “late fee” will apply after September 19^th and registration closes on September 30^th.

“Scholarships” are available for those unable to afford the fee. It’s our goal that every boy that really wants to play and is dedicated to lacrosse get’s the opportunity to participate in this program. Please respond to this email and we will discretely handle your request.

Registration-We are hoping to enter 3 teams for each age group with a maximum of 15 players per team (for example only 45 total U11 players). We need to commit to the number of our teams by September 30^th so please sign up NOW and reserve your spot as we expect this to fill up. The goal of this program is is to prepare players for the spring outdoor season and to excel their lacrosse skills and knowledge of the game. 100’s of Hingham players have participated in these sessions over the years.

Dozens of Hingham players have participated in this select program over the years and many new towns are participating this year. What: The program will feature skills clinics typically followed by a short scrimmage.
When: The program will start on Saturday Sept. 11th and will run to Saturday November 6^th.
Time:
Grades 1 and 2 meet from 8:15am to 9:15am
Grades 3 and 4 meet from 9:45am to 11:00am
Grades 5 to 8 meet from 3:30pm to 4:45pm, subject to earlier start time as daylight fades.

Attention 3^rd through 8^th Graders: We’re ramping up this year’s program! John Todd (Head Coach of Hingham HS) will be working with the kids and it promises to be fast paced and very productive whether you’re a first time or veteran player. Coach Todd will be joined by other Hingham HS coaches, high school players and our dedicated parent volunteers. Your game will be at a higher level at the end of the program.
